Katie Holmes to vamp it up on So You Think You Can Dance

Katie Holmes is set to vamp it up for a Judy Garland tribute performance on US talent show So You Think You Can Dance.

Tom Cruise’s wife is reportedly planning to wow TV audiences by strutting her stuff on stage in a sexy all-black ensemble during the show, hosted by British presenter Cat Deeley.

In a jaw-dropping routine, the former Dawson’s Creek actress, 30, will sing Garland’s Get Happy hit from the 1950 musical Summer Stock.

She is expected to show off her figure in an outfit similar to Garland’s famous black velvet fedora, patent leather heels, nylon stockings, body-hugging skirt and micro-mini skirt.

Holmes has reportedly been rehearsing this week at the Fox studios, in California.

A source said the Batman Begins star has been thrilling everyone with her performance

“She looks incredible. She is just doing an amazing job. Everyone is absolutely floored by how talented she is.”

The red-hot performance is expected to be shown on the primetime Fox show early next month.

Anne Hathaway’s boufriend pleads guilty

Con-man and former beau of Anne Hathaway, Raffaello Follieri pleaded guilty today to charges of wire fraud, money laundering and conspiracy. He’s facing at five years in prison and possible deportation. E! Online reports:
“I did not have investor authorization to use the money that way,” the 30-year-old Follieri stated after pleading guilty to all 14 counts stemming from his June 24 bust. “I knew what I did was wrong.”

Since the arrest, Follieri has been negotiating with prosecutors to reach a deal on a litany of charges. According to the authorities, the former boyfriend and now douchebag lied about Vatican ties in order to buy church properties well below their going rate only to flip them at a fast profit as well as diverting up to $6 million from investors to finance his.

KT Tunstall’s wait has finally ended as she is officially married to Luke Bullen. According to People, the couple wed on a Scottish island. The 33-year old singer held the ceremony overlooking the Atlantic Ocean on the Isle of Skye. A pal of the singer says “They wanted to keep it as a private event for family and friends. It was just as they wanted it!” KT wore a strapless gown covered with crystals and finished off her look with simple jewellery. Christina Aguilera seems be taking tips from her newborn baby, reportedly throwing a “massive tantrum” and sacking her manager, an assistant and PR firm BWR.

And all because an issue of US magazine People, featuring pictures of the busty singer with husband Jordan Bratman, and five-week-old son Max Liron, received poor sales.

The mag is said to have paid $1,000,000 for pictures of the family, but the issue featuring the snaps is believed to have sold just 1.3 million copies, about 100,000 less than usual.

They’re so serious that the rocker even accompanied the heiress on a work trip to St. Louis this past weekend where she went to promote her new fragrance. An LA court commissioner has extended Poppa Spears’ rule over his daughter’s estate until July 31st last Wednesday. Hallelujah! The five month extension is a very good thing in my opinion. Britney seems to be doing so much better these days that she’s able to see her kids again. By the time the deadline comes in, there’s a big chance that she’ll be back to the Britney the world fell in love with.

David and Victoria Beckham keeping their marriage, interesting

David and Victoria Beckham appear to be keeping their marriage, ahem, interesting. The couple visited the Pleasure Chest adult superstore in Hollywood at the weekend.

A source said: “David grabbed a small shopping basket and stocked up on some goods. Victoria was very vocal, cracking jokes constantly. They seemed to know exactly what they wanted and after asking an assistant where items were, they grabbed what they came for.”

Lily Allen seeks shrink

March 5th, 2008 Heartbroken pop star Lily Allen is undergoing treatment for depression at a top private clinic.

The tragic Smile singer, 22, sank into despair after a miscarriage. She also split with lover Ed Simons, who pals said Lily thought was “the one”.

She bravely tried to battle on but has now decided to seek help. The star is being treated at a residential clinic, but is allowed out to see pals and to film her chat show, Lily Allen and Friends.

A pal said last night: “The last couple of months have been really hard for Lily. She was so happy to be pregnant and was willing to give up her showbiz life to settle down and have a family. Her miscarriage was a huge blow and she hasn’t really recovered. She has tried to put on a brave face but she found she needed to get some professional help.”

Lily recently pulled out of performing at the Isle of Wight Festival in June and she is likely to delay the release date for her forthcoming album. But her troubles started in January with the miscarriage. Her relationship with Ed, 37, hit the rocks and they went on a $6,000-a-night holiday to the Maldives to try to make up, but it didn’t work and they split.

The pal added: “She really believed she and Ed were perfect together so she was devastated when they broke up. But she is responding well to treatment and is pleased that she is being allowed out to film her TV show and to keep in touch with the friends supporting her.”

Pink’s Split Story

After months of speculation, Pink and Carey Hart have finally split up and their story is as old as time. The reason for their split was because their careers just got in the way.

Sources close to Carey say that the bike rider is telling people that he and Pink still love each other and will still be best friends. The end of the marriage came as a result of their busy schedules. Pink has returned to the studio to work on her music while Carey is busy opening new nightclubs. Carey is working on opening a live music club in Las Vegas.

Adnan’s Wife Files for Divorce

Ok, so he’s only been cheating on her for a month that we know of, but Adnan Ghalib’s wife has finally officially filed for divorce.

AzLynn Berry has finally had enough of his romps with Britney Spears and wants herself removed from the chaos that is his life. She filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences”. Umm, ya think?

Britney and Adnan were back together, heading out to dinner Tuesday night at Taverna Tony in Malibu.

Ashley Tisdale’s Apology

Ashley Tisdale has already cancelled her performances on two shows since she had surgery on her nose. Now, the 22-year old ‘High School Musical’ star has made a public apology to her fans and friends in Miami and Philadelphia where she backed out of her Jingle Ball performances.

“I’m so sorry I wasn’t able to be at the holiday shows this weekend. I haven’t fully recovered from my surgery and had to make the difficult decision to cancel the appearances. When my surgery was scheduled, we didn’t think it would be necessary to cancel the shows because my doctor thought I would heal in time. Unfortunately, the deviated septum was more significant than we originally thought so the healing process is taking longer.”

Baby News for Lily Allen

British singer Lily Allen has announced her pregnancy. The 22 year old has been dating Ed Simons of Chemical Brothers since September, and the couple says they are “thrilled by the news”.

Hmm, seems like this was planned. In November, Lily gave an interview in which she said she wanted to retire early and start a family. She said, “Maybe I could retire at 25. I’m only going to do one more album.”

Plans are still going forward to release her new album next year, and then we’ll see about this “retirement”. Will it be anything like Celine Dion’s? or Shania Twain’s?

When you’re playing around with your Photoshop and an actual human being’s picture, the number one rule is to make sure that the finished product still looks like the real thing – just with some improvements. Complete Woman magazine failed to follow the rules.

Ashlee Simpson is the new issue’s cover girl – or at least I think that’s Ashlee Simpson. I could hardly tell anymore. She didn’t do a cover shoot or an interview though. Her publicist said that Ashlee did not pose or give them an interview. “They apparently purchased outtakes from an old photo shoot years ago and elected on their own to retouch the photo as they wanted to. This supposed ‘magazine’ has never reached out to us and we did not cooperate with them in any way at all.”

Miss Puerto Rico got Pepper Sprayed

So we all read the stuff saying that she wasn’t sprayed because they hadn’t found traces of the substance on her bag or the gown that was allegedly hit. Now, though, police say it was true all along.

After being crowned Miss Puerto Rico, Marie Rivera claimed that her dress, bag, and a swimsuit had been sprayed. She thought perhaps by a rival contestant. She said she had to apply ice packs in between appearances on stage due to a reaction.

Despite this, she went on to win. Now police say that after continued investigation and questioning, they have determined that she was, indeed, a pepper spray victim. But they don’t think it was done by anyone she was competing against, but by a volunteer for the pageant

They haven’t decided how to proceed as of yet, as far as charges go. Marie goes on to the Miss Universe pageant in July.
